[Camping] in Pisgah National Forest

More often than not pictures of my dog and I are a product of me forcing my husband Bernardo behind the camera. It's a hard lesson for a photographer to learn - being the person always taking pictures, handing a camera to another and asking/forcing them to shoot you rarely turns out well- the most truthful moments can only be saved when you, the subject, are not worried about documenting them yourself. I could have posted just this first photo and been satisfied with this blog entry, I love it.

The Linville Gourge and PIsgah Forest are amazing, especially for someone who grew up in flat, flat South Georgia.

From these pictures, you might sense that I didn't do much...I swear I helped. Beans, bread, corn and beer - camping making them all taste like something off a fine dining menu.

This beautiful old horse lives right off to the side of the Blue Ridge Parkway. His coat color is called Roan and it perfectly reflected the pink evening sky that day.
